Signature Paisley Scarf

€87,60 €219

Our Signature Scarves are key Tapis Noir house symbols and the very first pieces we designed. Our Signature Scarves are all created in the same way, but have different prints and tell different stories.
The Signature Paisley Scarf has a print from an antique paisley from the 1880'ies purchased from a collector in Italy. The paisley is part of our archive, which we use to create our prints for the scarves.

One side is made from a thick and exceptionally soft silk twill printed with an antique paisley pattern and an oil-painted border. The other side is made from a very soft silk and twill mix in a burgundy herringbone weave. It’s large enough to use as a shawl but not too big to use as a regular scarf.

- Front: 100% thick silk twill with a colourful print
- Back: 52% wool, 48% silk with a herringbone weave
- 60x180cm
- Dry-clean only
- Comes in a beautiful white box and a biodegradable bag

THE STORY OF

TAPIS NOIR

Founded in Denmark in 2020 by Mads Lehn Kruse, Tapis Noir brings together Lehn Kruse’s understanding and experience as an art director with his personal interest in interiors and antique textiles. A collector of rare fabric documents, he rearticulates their faded splendour for today, digitally translating woven textures, rich tapestries and old wall panel techniques into beautiful silk alongside his own warp prints.
